John Dore - speaker, author and educator
I am leadership facilitator, keynote speaker and executive programme director. His work centres on a simple idea: that the organisations that truly thrive are those in which talented people are deeply connected to one another, to their purpose and their customers. He calls that connection glue. His book GLUE: Transforming Leadership in a Hybrid World won Business Book of the Year 2024 in the Leadership category and provides the framework. The real work happens in the room. John has spent 20 years working with senior leaders worldwide, directing programmes, including the FT-ranked #1 Senior Executive Programme at London Business School. He has worked with numerous global organisations and with leading business schools, including Cambridge Judge and Hult Ashridge. He is also a published novelist and optioned screenwriter, which may explain why he believes the best leadership is at its best, a creative act.

In 2014 I founded Wave Your Arms Ltd, an executive development consultancy that facilitates inspiring ideas for businesses. I aim to help leaders create an ‘organisational advantage’ through deepening cohesion within their firms. My professional experience includes consulting services, global wealth management, communications, and leadership development. Before founding Wave Your Arms, I was the Global Head of Marketing & Communications for HSBC Private Bank, where I produced and led the ‘Family Enterprise Forum’ and ‘Next Generation’ programmes for high-net-worth clients and their families in the US, Europe and Asia. Previously, I worked in various roles with Barclays, Herbert Smith, Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen.
Since 2019, I have been privileged to be the Director of the Senior Executive Programme at LBS, the School’s flagship open-enrolment programme and the #2 globally ranked execurtive development programme according to the FT. I have developed a suite of creative business simulations for executives, including The Organisational Advantage™, The Perfect Product, Building Bridges, and The Art of High Performance.
